From January 5th to January 7th, 2023, COVNA Group held its annual review and summary meeting. The participants included all employees of the group, who reviewed and summarized their work over the past year by department and also planned for the work in 2023.
Three Starting Points for the Review:
1. What is the current situation? First, we need to understand whether the goal has been achieved or if only part of it was completed. Who participated, what was done, what difficulties were encountered, etc. It’s essential to describe the current situation in detail. By asking, “What is the current situation?” we can understand the current information status, compare it with the initial goals, and assess where we stand.
2. How was the decision made in the first place? We need to know the purpose behind the actions. Through continuous simulation and analysis, we can identify different possibilities, the boundaries of success and failure, and gain personal growth.
3. Let's reconsider the premise of our thinking: Let's re-examine the premise of our thinking. Are our motives in line with the inherent laws of things? What are the key factors for success? Where do the roots of success or failure lie? These are all questions worth exploring deeply.
Steps and Content of the Review:
1. Review the Goal: Review the objectives of the event being analyzed.
2. Compare Results: Compare the results with the goals. The comparison is aimed at identifying problems and finding out why there is a gap between the results and the goal.
3. Narrate the Process: Narrate the process to ensure that all participants understand what was done, the steps taken, and the details, allowing everyone to discuss and analyze together.
4. Self-analysis: Self-analysis involves reflecting on the actions taken, identifying any problems or achievements, and trying to find the reasons behind them, discovering patterns and lessons.
5. Group Questioning: The questioning process should explore multiple possibilities, examining each potential scenario from information, thinking, and hypothesis levels, diving deeper at each level.
6. Summarize Patterns: Summarize the patterns, primarily focusing on the essence of thinking and hypothesis levels. When summarizing, it’s important to consider the boundary conditions of the patterns. The patterns must align with the facts.
7. Case Verification: The summarized patterns should be able to explain past cases.
8. Archive the Review: Archiving the review helps to formalize the insights gained, making them easier to spread and refer to.
Whether it's a team or personal review, it's a summary of the experiences we've had, which helps us learn from them and drives us forward to greater growth and progress.
May we all have the ability to reflect on our experiences, review and summarize each stage we go through, continuously challenge ourselves, and achieve personal growth.
